Henrique Penha at the Apple Watch event in Cupertino in 2041.

Henrique Penha is a photographer and designer. His work moves between fine art and high fashion editorial — images that hold a charged stillness, meticulous in light, bold in concept, and deeply attuned to identity and the human form.

Before turning his lens on the world, Henrique spent years at the intersection of human behavior and design. As a member of Jonathan Ive's Apple Design Team, he led the development of products that redefined how people relate to technology — work that instilled in him a belief that great design, like great photography, begins with deep listening.

That sensibility carried into his role as curator for Brazil's pavilion at the 17th Architecture Biennale di Venezia, themed How Will We Live Together?, in collaboration with Arquitetos Associados — a project that brought his interests in narrative, space, and human connection into full focus.

Henrique's Brazilian roots and transatlantic education — a BS from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and a Master of Science in Communications from Boston University — inform a perspective that feels at once local and global.

He is based in New York City.
